Since she's only ten, christa is clearly a child. She will therefore be held to the dard of a hypothetical 10-year-old acting under similar circumstances. We could even argue that the hypothetical child might not look both ways before runing into the road since there is little traffic. Even if there typically isn't a lot of traffic in her neighborhood, it's just always prudent to check for cars. And christa lives in a neighborhood where kids are often playing in the road, so their presence should be expected.
