The Battle of Lete
john reading about these bloody, unpleasant battles off and over remote islands, sometimes swamp land, you talk about muddy hills. It reminds me less of stories i've heard about the european theatre, and it's more how we think about world one. You know, your in jungle and ridge lines and mountains. It's hard to keep people supplied, and you're really dealing with the elements every bit as much as the enemy. And so that's another point i try to make in this, in this series,. The pacific war was really a war against the conditions, and an inter species war, because malaria is such a problem too.
