Prakash Heghre, a college-going son from Pune, left home in January 1976. His parents didn't think much of it at first because he had friends and the city was known for its nightlife. But then they woke up one morning to find that their son hadn't been home all night. A letter written by Prakash told his parents how he'd chosen to go away voluntarily but wasn't sure if this would be temporary or permanent.
