Wild fires have been a part of our environment since the silurian period, 419 million years ago. Early man managed their environment and used fire to generate new growth. But modern man is by far the most common cause of the wild fires that have plagued us in recent history. By arson accident or through man made infra structure, fires caused by downd electricity cables have led to some of the most damaging wild fires ever recorded.
