The tabernacle was the one place in a lost and fallen creation in which God promised to be present with his people for their ongoing recreation. You had this one place at the tabernacle where the Creator continued to offer goodness, good gifts to his people. Here he would bring them into communion with himself and he would sanctify them. That is to say he would make them holy just as he is holy. He would remove their sins, their impurities by means of his words, by Means of his sacrifice.
