The Timeline Issue in the Case of Donald Trump

Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, says he has a letter from the New York County District Attorney's Office asking him not to cooperate with House Judiciary Committee oversight of criminal justice matters. The letter pointedly rejected the idea of non cooperation and said you have no basis to decline to testify about matters that you have already discussed in your book or on primetime television programs. If Donald Trump made the payment or had Michael Cohn make the payment specifically for the reason that they wanted in this particular case, it would be illegal under U.S. law.
