The president could have expended a lot of their political capital at the beginning of the bie administration on, for example, passing laws that would insure that the state governments were limited in what sort of election interference they could do with right. And instead, you had the wide administration wait several years to start pushing for democracy reform. The senate democrats who aren't willing to modify or eliminate the filibuster to prioritize the targeted democracy reforms we desperately need is one of my biggest disappointments from democratic rule over the last two years.
