Materna Medical is a medical device that aims to stretch the tissue of women who tear after giving birth. The company was founded by two former Stanford University students and now employs more than 1,000 people around the world. "It just seemed really sort of viscerally wrong to me that we were all just sort of standing by and letting that happen," says Materna co-founder Lisa Kogan.
