Chaucer and Cecily Champagne in a Lawsuit Against Thomas Dornon
Chaucer and Cecily Champagne are now engaged in a lawsuit together versus this other character Thomas Dornon. How does that change the understanding of the original writ? We tried to work out what under what circumstances Champagne may have left Staunton service and joined Chaucer. One would be that she was physically abducted by Chaucer taken from StauntonService into his own. Secondly, this idea of what's called procurement. Third mechanism is that she simply left the first service and went to go and work for Chaucer instead.
