Oscar Mendoza says the presidential election on sunday could be a turning point in Chile's political history. The president, who is up for re-election, has been impeached but will not be removed from his post due to an impeachment vote that must pass both houses of Congress before he can take office again. He also points out that there are other elections coming up this year including congressional and local government votes which may tip the balance towards the left. But mendoza warns it remains to be seen what happens next week as voters go head-to-head with their choices over whether or not they want another dictatorship.
