Mirror Neurons in Filmmaking

The phenomenon of mirroring is important for understanding human behavior and film perception in particular. When I see something or hear something, it evokes corresponding representations in the action systems of my brain. One mechanism for implementing this kind of mirroring are these really cool cells that were originally discovered in the frontal lobes of the macaque monkey called mirror neurons. But there's lots of other instances of mirroring and mimicry that probably don't depend on mirror neurons.
