The Prosthesis Selection Process for Total Knee-Artoplasty
On physical exam in these patients, gait may be a stiff-liked gait or an inability to fully extend during the stance phase. Range of motion assessment should determine symptoms on passive or active range of motion. An AP pelvis should be obtained to rule out any hip pathology. Tibcle osteotomy allows proxibial translation and is especially indicated if there's patella baja removal. As far as general steps, surgical exposure should be extensile.
