Is Spike Timing Important?
Most neurons are very quiet most of the time, at least in cortex and peramital cells. The best estimate i have seen of over all brain activity is that the average neuron is somewhere between point one and point zero. In early censory areas, it's very clearly important. Is spike timing important? Does anyone know the answer to this? That's the question, right?
