The Dutch Woman of the Seventeenth Century Who Lived for a Very Long Time
Her granddaughter tried to defend her. Historians have taken that line a bit too seriously, that she was only interested in plays and theatre. Another kind of a stock phrase is that she cared more forr dogs and monkeys than for her 13 children. And there are a lot of loving references in her letters, which were just left unread for centuries. I spent er almost 15 years collecting ouh letters and trying to rehabilitate her,. pointing out all her faults as well. Oh, she sounds like a really incredible figure. I'm very glad that she's getting the attention she deserves.
