On neurovascular exam, you may find atrophy of the supras and or infraspinatus due to superscapular neuropathy. An MRI plus or minus on arthrogram is indicated when there is a high suspicion for a labral tear. Treatment of a slap lesion can be non-operative or operative. Know that return to play rates after slap repairs are significantly lower for pitchers compared to non-pitchers.
