Cricket in the Early Days of the Empire

Britons were playing cricket overseas much earlier than i had ever imagined. A group of british seamen having a game while their ship was anchored off the coast of western india in 17 21. From 18 25, the british army started playing cricket in buenous airs. In 18 58, one british admiral went to valparaiso to head the chilian navy and apparently there were games of cricket organized to welcome him.
