Ashesquigot is an exercise in faking the writer. It's not about writing to say, it's about putting a sequence together that makes a story. There's also a lot of obituaries. The number of stories that end up in a silence. I suppose everybody has to die. So most of your character studies will end up in the ground. As a kid I was very interested in history. That was one of the reasons why I found Ashesquigot utterly fascinating. Because it was an avenue to history. But this cricket can be a great education for you.
