Introduction

This week, on the Mythas and Legends podcast, it's part one of the story of Hong Gildong. This is a really interesting, awesome adventure tale that actually has a really human element to it. It takes place in 17th century Korea, so to put that in context, this falls around the same time as some of the Pig-faced Lady Stories. A king ruled the entirety of modern day North Korea and South Korea, and Confucianism was primary religion.
