The Fear of the Lord

Dr. Heisen: The fear of the Lord is not about mere reverence, because that's the way these passages usually get taken. And I think a lot of the godly Israelites would have, that God can judge us this way. This thinking is not utterly foreign to the New Testament after the cross. It just isn't.
