The Story of Prudence Crandall

Prudence crandall was born on september third, 18 o three in rhode island. Her family relocated to canterbury, connecticut when she was young. She opened a private school for girls there but all her students were white. The black law made it illegal for black people from outside the state to be educated in the state of connecticut without the town's explicit consent. In 18 33, an angry mob broke into the school wielding iron bars and clubs.
