Is the HealthSpan Study Still Open?
In parallel to your clinical development, you're also running an observational study called the health span study to track aging markers and dogs. So is that study running locally in a particular geographic location? Sowe running it across c us. I first started working on loyal i came from the aging biology side. I'm a huge animal lover, but it would n'tstart another animal company, necessarily. It was because there was actually forms of great dan owners who would basely just talk about how much they loved the breed. They leve the temperament, they love everything bit the dogs, but they couldn't take the heart break of another one dying so early.
Loyal is a San Francisco-based startup that is seeking to treat the underlying causes of aging in dogs. Loyal has raised $11 million in seed funding so far, and is planning to start clinical trials of medications in 2022 and 2023. In this episode, BioAge VP-Media Chris Patil talks with Celine Halioua, CEO and founder of Loyal.
Celine beginswith by describing the striking difference in lifespan among the dog species, with smaller breeds like the Chihuahua living twice as long as larger breeds like the Great Dane.
