Saavok Is a New Approach to Policing and Intelligence
Saavok is among your audience absolutely a household term, regardless of one's political persuasion. But Saavok is not the only policing force that is trained and in fact funded by the US at this time. In 1959, the US Army sent another mission to Iran led by a less well known figure by the name of Colonel Charles McLean Peake. He was charged with reforming and training the Imperial Gendarmerie and also the Iranian National Police Force. So it's kind of a wholesale new approach to policing and intelligence.
