House Hacking - A Unique Living Arrangement

House hacking is another term for an owner occupied real estate investment. The investor buys a rental property, lives in one part of the property and rents out the remaining parts. House hacking combines many of the benefits of home ownership with the benefits of rental property investing. Some house hacks will cash flow, which is excellent. But even if they don't, the tax savings, loan paydown and potential for appreciation typically help boost the investor's net worth more than renting traditional home ownership.
