The Rise of the Mory Rose
When we left it the hull of the Mory Rose was suspended just off the seabed under its lifting frame. The final lift which is the bit that the public remember and the public saw in October 40 years ago was just the raising of this whole contraption to the surface. But it was then cocooned inside the cradle with a lifting frame above and you couldn't see it much. So I hope people weren't disappointed too much because what they saw was an enormous piece of engineering rather than the oak timbers from Henry the eighth day.
