Is There a Problem With Text-Expandered and Name Files on iOS?

David and John were talking about their own RSI issues. Linda sent us a link to her Speak and Spell device for meetings. Michael Schechter said using text-expandered snippets in the name field on iOS sometimes runs into trouble. And if the iPad didn't exist, I would be tempted to buy one of these devices.
