The Politics of Green Capital in the New Deal Period

I'm skeptical as to whether or at least to what extent you can build a new material basis for a new Democratic majority just through investment. I think if we look back to the New Deal period, it wasn't just like objective economic growth or rising wages. It was also the prevalence of unions that helped people make collective political sense of the economic situation. And so I think I think it does rest on this investment question, but also on the unionization question, which we've been discussing and depends on bidenomics,.
