The Battle of Poi Yang Lake

In 1363 Ju Yuan Zhang became an emperor who ruled the whole country from a southern rather than a northern base. The battle that really did it for Ju Yuan Zhang is significant because up to that time in 1363 this battle of Lake Poiang was one of the largest if not the largest naval battle the world had ever seen. In this ultimate battle of Poi Yang Lake the same kind of fireboats used at the tail end of the eastern Han were used against Chen Yo Liang's forces. When Taotao was defeated at Red Clif 208 to 209 BCE these kinds of fireboats were also used by his army and they came out on top.
