The Tulsa race riots that took place in 1921 should be labeled a massacre. It was a two-day long massacre from may 31st to june 1st in 1921 mobs of white residents some of them was even deputies and armed by the city government officials They burned and destroyed more than 35 square blocks at one time. This was the wealthiest black community in the united states they called it black wall street Now the oklahoma bureau of vital statistic officially recorded 36 dead But after contemporary autopsy reports deaf certificates and other records estimate that anywhere from 75 to 300 people were killed.
