Is China Unique in Its Longevity?

To think of china or its civilization as being unique in terms of its longevity, is giving it a lot of leeway while refusing to extend the same courtesy on to any else. It's an unlevel playing field. If we were to say, look at the history of france, where do we mark its start date? The same would apply to most other places that have had some sort of continuous human settlement for thousands or tens of thousands of years. There inevitably are significant bleed overs from one period to the next,. even as we attempt to break it down into more easily digestible chapters or pieces.
