I joined the labour party because it was an act of conscious decision that this was the best vehicle to change the world. I then ceased to have that view round about two thousand and one, when i became convinced of the arguments for scottish independence. It wasn't right to allow conservative public opinion in england to hold back social progress in scotland if people wanted to do things differently. So in order to get the political agency to be able to do that, we require to create a new nation state. That's why i believe in in scScottish independence.
