The Artistic Renaissance
Am by holbein is most famous for its weird thing on the floor, which pops out as a three d skull. But in it, i think holbein rizes perfectly what the renaissance is all about. The obsession with human technology and tools and progress has led to absolute diminution of old ways of contemplating the divine. And they've almost entirely forgotten the mysteries of the passion of christ. So that's a great analogy for what's going on in the renaissance artistically and spiritually as a whole.
