The Long Term Effect of Fasting on Mental Health

The state of mind you achieved after a few days of fasting just feels Holy. You suffer and then you are rewarded by achieving what feels like an elevated plane of existence. It's heavenly in its Pleasant Placidity it's quiet contentment. Fasting depletes leptin, which is an anti hunger hormone. This might all have to do with Adapting the brain's reward system to a state of involuntary starvation. In winter there's no food to be had you need to derive reward from survival activities other than eating.
