The Nightmare
I've never had an experience like that other than in the Satanic Panic episode and in the exorcism episode. But it's an example where I was somewhere in between dream and wakefulness. My wife actually used to get night terrors. And if we had anything hanging up in the bedroom that had like an odd pattern on it, she would wake up in the middle of the night and not realize that she was still sort of in a dream state. So we've kind of gotten used to that now and try not to hang up things like that that would invoke that state.
