The Importance of Due Diligence

There are real moments where it may not be healthy to engage in any kind of relationship with a parent. It isn't my position that nobody should ever be estranged from a parent, but I do think that people are engaging in it too quickly these days. But certainly there are cases for estrangement as you're pointing out. Sometimes nothing is going to bring that parent to the table more than understrangement.
