The Fighting in Sudan

American personnel have been evacuated from the U.S. embassy in Sudan, where a civil conflict between military forces enters week two. President Biden announced on Twitter that he ordered the evacuation saying the violence had already cost hundreds of innocent lives and called for an immediate ceasefire. Since the conflict broke out on the 15th, the Associated Press reports more than 400 people have died and nearly 4,000 others have been injured.
