Thesis and the Labyrinth
Thesis and Ariadne meet on the island of Naxos en route to Athens. She gives him a ball of thread so that as he travels through the labyrinth he can lay it down as he goes, then use it to find his way out after. Thesis takes Ariadne with him when he escapes the labyrinth and crete. Now let's all say, versions diverge from here on out.
