What's the Biggest Trend in Science and Medicine?

We're here tonight to celebrate 50 years of the Wilson history prize. I wondered if you could perhaps draw out any key trends that you maybe see have happened in writing about science and medicine over the last 50 years. Sasha: So my first thought here is about a trend in historical writing in the field that has been most formative for my work. And I go back to the 60s and 70s, the history workshop movement was really formative in helping shift focus from quite traditional histories of great men.
