The Fall of Adam
Adam's fear is that he has lost that original likeness to the glory of the Lord. And so when he lost that, I think Adam knew in a very profound way that something bad was bound to happen. Even as the passage is structured, it kind of focuses us in on the nakedness of Adam and his need for clothing. It addresses the fall in a descending order. You know, serpent, Eve, Adam, they see that they were naked and they clothe themselves. And then it goes back the other way. He was afraid because he was naked.
