Gay in Government Rights - Is That a Shitty Thing?

I disagree with Jen on her pushback with the idea of minority based hiring over quality and that grifters who don't know shit rise up within the ranks. I worked for one of the largest counties in the United States and Jen could not be further from the truth. It makes me feel extremely uncomfortable to know that I would get a job because I am gay and not because they actually believe in me. The same argument you hear against affirmative action where people are like, Oh, this person's only going to get into this college because they're black. Jim was the Patriots a diversity hire? Is that how that came about recently? I'll gently push back.
