The Quick Claim of Cecily Champagne
Cecily Champagne appointed two attorneys in the Court of King's Bench. But they weren't against Jeffrey Chaucer, they're against a man named Thomas Stondon. This was an action under the statute of labourers - brought in after Black Death. It was claimed that Champagne had been working for Staunton and had gone to work for Chaucer instead. So by linking these two cases we had a much earlier timeframe for this.
