Why Do Non Voters Want More Government Action to Reduce Inequality?
Non voters are more supportive of minimum wage increases and increased government spending on health care, public education and social safety net benefits. Political scientists martin gillins and benjamin page were able to quantify just how little power most americans have on policy making despite living in an ostensible democracy. 60 to 80 per cent of Americans get the policy changes they want only about forty percent of the time this has real consequences.
