Women were placed on a high pedestal down the way in Arabic culture. Women have always had more power, which was why D-Hail was there fighting. And even till today, if you take the Keltama Shek, the Torek, it's not uncommon to see a Torek woman not wearing a veil. But some of them just don't put the same importance on women as Arabs do.
