The History of Syracuse
Greek city of Syracuse has a rather long history, stretching out almost 3000 years. It's had influential ties to Christianity and it's been a battleground that's passed through many sets of hands. Plato spent a good deal of time in Syracuse, and some of his drawings have argued that his analogy of the cave was inspired by the caves in Syracuse. So he tried to make a philosopher king out of Dionysius and Dion in Syracuse with really mixed results. Archimedes is famous for his amazing war machines and designs like a precursor to Da Vinci and just a mathematical genius. All of this happens in Syracuse... Must go.
