Glassdoor is the bitching forum for the people that no longer want to work there. So as useful as I do think it is that you get to see their numbers, I do think the company itself saying this is what we pay is important. There are penalties for lying about the pay range and having your pay range or what you eventually pay somebody go either wildly over or under what you have publicly listed.
