Ransomware - What's Next?
Vice Society doesn't write much code from scratch, nor does it play in the typical ransomware as a service market. The gang goes after K-12 schools in particular because they're often vulnerable and less well protected than bigger operations. SISA yesterday added CVE-2022-4262 to its known exploited vulnerabilities catalog. Technologies expected to apply updates per vendor instructions no later than December 26.
