The Flying Saucer

The Roswell Army airfield issued a public press release in which they claimed the material found on the Foster Homestead was, in fact, a UFO. This happened weeks before a host of UFO sightings popped up around the country. Ten days after William Brazel first discovered this strange debris, Kenneth Arnold claimed to have seen a cluster of UFOs that he said looked like flying saucers. And when the local air force got wind of it, they responded in an incredibly peculiar way.
