The History of Silk
The silk road was developed during the han dynasty and lasted until the fifteenth century b c e. It was an important system of trade routes that stretched over asia, the middle east, northeastern africa and europe. In the twentieth century, japan became the world's leading producer of silk. The fabric has remained an important fashion fabric and is usually associated with high and dressy garments.
