For a few hundred thousand years, it somewhere in africa, was unseasonably warm. This consumed the fisile material in like several tons of uranium. It was producing crazy radiation, ry shooting off particles. The thing i find really interesting is that it's no longer possible, because uranium is naturally depleting itself so rapidly.
