i wonder if you could compare what's happening in tiwan to what we've seen there. One country, two systems as a political formula for hong kong was originally also intended to appeal to tiwan. The population of tiwan is two % indigenous and around 88% are descended from earlier waves of hon chinese migration before the p r c came to exist. Sometimes chinese dynasty di not really consider tiwan really to be part of it.
