Dan Snow's History Hit

The Ice Was Very Far North for Shackleton.
This year there is less ice, but still hundreds of thousands of square kilometers. It's impossible to avoid the so thick on the surface here that we're just jugging along very slowly through the ice. The undersea team are practising running their cables through - it's a bit like canal fishing. We've got this structure leaning over the stern, and they are hanging things off it. So the drone and the umbilical government gets snalled up with the with the ship and with the propellers at the back. Anyway, it's come forward here. We're go to slow down because these icebergs and growlers aren't great for the hole, for smashing them.
